Adam Dakin
Founding Partner

Adam Dakin has over 17 years of experience with early stage and venture-backed medical device companies.  From 1998-2004, Adam served as the President & CEO of X-SITE Medical, a venture-backed cardiovascular device company which was acquired by Datascope (NasdaqNM:DSCP) in May 2004.  During his tenure, the company raised approximately $9 MM at progressively higher valuations, completed a successful multi-center randomized trial, and received FDA PMA approval.  X-SITE developed a suture-mediated vascular sealing device for sealing the femoral artery following catheterization.

Previously, Adam held numerous senior level marketing and clinical positions with Cardiovascular Imaging Systems (CVIS).  CVIS was acquired by Boston Scientific for $100MM in 1998.  Adam started his medical device career as an orthopedic implant sales representative for Krischner Medical.  Adam holds a BS degree in economics from the Wharton School along with an MBA in finance and marketing from The Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.   At UCLA, Adam was awarded a Venture Capital Fellowship.
